As a Sr. IT business analyst (BA), I learned most of my business analysis skills on the job. But when I first started, like most, I turned to courses and online trainings and there were a couple of things I noticed:
- Business Analysis courses were confusing (if you didn't have any experience).
- Almost all business analysis courses cater specifically to aspiring business analysts.
Now, you may be thinking to yourself, well of course, because who else needs business analysis skills? Surprisingly, more people than you think.
As part of a BA team, we spend a fair amount of time training non-business analyst roles (Subject Matter Experts or Product Owners) business analysis skills so they too can perform the necessary analysis activities to keep their project tasks on track. Furthermore, I can't recall how many people outside of work I've taught basic business analysis skills to increase their time management, organization, etc.
My objective with this program is to inspire life-changing work efficiency where you will learn and understand the essential business analysis skills that you can apply to your work to prioritize, organize and master your day so you can live a better self-directed life.
